Geosynthetic materials
Geosynthetic engineering has made incredible progress over the last decade both in production and practical application. For this reason, geosynthetics has become the main and most common construction material which can be used to speed up construction, ensure better functioning of structures and reduce long-term maintenance by performing simple civil engineering works.
Brasta Build offers innovative solutions and geosynthetic materials for your projects:
- Asphaltic concrete reinforcement materials
- Non-woven geotextile
- Woven geotextile
- Geotextile grids and geotextile composites
- Drainage mesh
- Hydroisolation materials
- Slope stabilisation materials
- Protection from weeds and roots
Based on market changes and scientific discoveries and bearing contractors’ expectations in mind, we continuously renew and supplement our range of products. For all the products and solutions offered by Brasta Build please see our geosynthetics catalogue.
Fortex geogrids
The biaxial geogrids are made of polypropylene (PP) panels using an extruded hole punching technique after which the geogrid is pulled in two directions under a certain temperature to improve the extension properties of the material. Composite geogrids are produced using thermal linking technique to connect the geogrid with any type of non-woven geotextiles of Fortex Geo.
These geogrids and geocomposites may be used to reduce the thickness of the filling layer and increase the loading capacity of the main soil layer. The eyes of the biaxial geogrids restrict the movement of filler particles thus enabling effective reinforcement and stabilisation of soil. Geogrids may also be used to produce membranes that are spread on the soft surface of soil. Advantages of Fortex geogrids against welded geogrids are available in the competitive comparison of Fortex geogrids.
